God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. -- John 4:24 (NKJV)
A Plea For Pure Christianity
Perhaps you have said,
“I intend to visit the Church of Christ
sometime.” But you have put it off simply because of the dread
of going into a strange place, not knowing what to expect.
Hear The Gospel In Its Purity
Our purpose is not to further the course of denominationalism
and man-made doctrines but rather to restore New Testament Christianity.
There is but one way to do this and that is a complete return to the New
Testament scriptures for authority in all things. Our plea is that all denominations
might be one, but that can only come by all following the teachings of the
New Testament. The Bible is the inspired Word of God and a perfect standard
of authority for all men today (2 Tim. 3:16-17). We offer no creed books,
manuals, or catechisms of man but earnestly plea for you to come and investigate
the Bible with us. A sincere effort will be made to preach the pure and
simple truth of the Gospel of Christ. We will preach the gospel in love...trusting
that everyone present will evaluate it in the light of his or her personal life
and responsibility. We encourage you to bring your Bible and study with
us.
About Our Worship Periods
Our worship is simple and based entirely on what is
taught in the New Testament. On Sunday, we will have prayers, congregational
singing, partaking of the Lord's Supper in remembrance of the death of Christ,
and a sermon, Christ centered and designed to teach and uplift all who are
present. You will find no tendency toward entertainment. We feel man has
spiritual needs which are far more important than his physical desires for
entertainment.
We also have a Sunday afternoon period of worship and
Bible Study for all ages on Wednesday evening. All of these classes are
designed to teach the Bible. We invite you to attend any or all of these
services and leave your purse at home. The Church of Christ is financially
supported by its members laying by in store on the first day of the week
as God has prospered them (1 Cor. 16:1-2). We ask financial support from
no one else.
A Warm Welcome
There will be no effort to embarrass or pressure
you in any way. You will not be asked to raise your hand or stand or in
any way be identified before the audience. There will be nothing to make
you wish you hadn't come, or make you feel out of place. You will be our
respected and honored guest. You will be greeted with kindness and courtesy.
We ask only that you come and consider what the Bible teaches concerning
your soul's salvation.
If you are honestly seeking the right way
to God and truth, we invite you to investigate what we teach and practice.
Why not come and be with us?
