How many times have you thought, "I would be happy, only if ...?" And then the dream usually continues with "only if I had more money", or "only if I had married someone else", or "only if I had more friends, a better education, a better job, a bigger house, a better health, etc. The gap to happiness for many things hangs in those two words, "only if …"

In the beginning of time, several demons gathered to make a prank. One of them said: "We must take something from men, but what do we take away from them?” After a lot of thinking, one said, "I know, we're going to take away their happiness, but the problem is going to be where to hide it so they can’t find it."

Proposed the first: "We are going to hide it on the top of the highest mountain in the world," to which another immediately replied, "No, remember that they have strength, someone can climb and find it. If one finds it, all will know where it is. "

Then proposed another: "Then we are going to hide it in the bottom of the sea", and another answered, "No, remember that they are curious, someone will build some device to be able to go down and then he will find it".

One more said, "Let's hide it on a planet far from Earth." And they said, "No, remember they have intelligence, and one day someone will build a spaceship in which he can travel to other planets and he will discover it, and then everyone will have happiness."

The last of them was a demon who had remained silent listening carefully to each of the proposals of the others. He analyzed each of them and then said, "I think I know where to put it so they will never find it."

Everyone turned in amazement and asked at the same time, "Where?" The devil replied, "We will hide it inside themselves, they will be so busy looking for it outside, that they will never find it”.

Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near of which you will say, I have no pleasure in them - Ecclesiastics 12:1.

Christians can be happy! Christians should always be happy! What an opportunity a Christian has to rejoice with all the blessings and joys that are ours as children of God. Let's enjoy all the spiritual blessings that are in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:3). Let's enjoy the peace of God that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:4-7). Happiness consists in obedience and faithful service to God. If you have not yet obeyed the gospel of Christ, we encourage you to do so now.
