Background

Brother Jim Grushon was born in Dayton Ohio and graduated from Bellbrook High School in 1972. He has worked for the family insurance business since 1976 and now serves as Vice President of Thomas and Grushon Insurance Agency Inc. Jim has worked as a public speaker for the Ohio Insurance Institute and served on several committees with the Professional Insurance Agents Association and as chairman of the Agent’s Advisory Board for Celina Insurance.

Family

Brother Jim married Pam Boyd in 1976 in Chicago Illinois. The family was blessed with Gwen in 1978, Wes in 1980, and Matt in 1982. All three of the children are faithfully serving the Lord and have married. Currently, Jim and Pam now enjoy 5 granddaughters and 2 grandsons, with more on the way.

The Lord's Church In My Life

God has given us the church as a spiritual family. This wonderful family has seen me and my earthly family through many struggles. The church exists to be a foundation for our lives by presenting God's message of hope and provide us with the basis for a successful life as we live from day to day. I appreciate all that the church family has done to encourage me on my journey to heaven. I believe God has given each of us the ability to encourage each other to our calling in Christ. The church serves as God's organization to accomplish His work.

Elder's Role

The last several years my life has focused on living my life preparing to die and meet my God. I have no greater desire than going to heaven and personally thanking Jesus for what He did for me. As an elder God has given me a responsibility to shepherd and lead his people to spiritual growth and a greater relationship with him. It is our responsibility to do everything we can to make sure each member of Kettering church knows God completely and serves him in a way that they will reach heaven and receive the blessings of His great and precious promises.
