A Prayer for Spiritual Mentors
A PRAYER FOR SPIRITUAL MENTORS
Text: John 17.9-10: “I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours. All mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them.”
Teaching: Jesus is praying for His disciples, not for people of the world. Because the disciples belong to the Son, they also belong to the Father, and are under the protection and guidance of both God and Christ. The lives of the disciples are such that they bring honor and glory to the Father and the Son.
- On the back of this card, list three people you know that are living a life that brings honor to God.
- Pray for their good example and for their ongoing efforts to do His will. Let them know you are praying for them. (Email, phone call, or tell them personally that you appreciate their example.
- Look in our "52 Weeks" plan to look for ideas on how to encourage your brethren at Kettering to become spiritual mentors.
