Abounding in Love for One Another
ABOUNDING IN LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER
Text: 1 Thessalonians 3.11-13: “Now may our God and Father himself, and our Lord Jesus, direct our way to you, and may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you, so that he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.”
Teaching: Paul always had concern for the church and its members. We also need to be concerned about our members and pray that love may abound for each other. Peter wrote that love will cover a multitude of sins, 1 Peter 4.8.
- On the back of this card, list one or two of your brethren who are having difficulty and pray for them today. Pray that love will abound within our spiritual family.
- Pray for patience as we deal with each other’s personalities and shortcomings.
- What are some ways you can more effectively stimulate your brothers and sisters to love and good works (Hebrews 10.24)?
- Make a list of those who have fallen away. Pray that they find their way back to Christ.
